A by-election to fill the recently vacated District 11: Charlottetown – Parkdale seat will be held on November 27th. Charlottetown City Councillor Bob Doiron won the nomination Monday night to carry the Liberal banner in the district. We thank Marcia Carroll for also putting her name forward in the nomination.
We are half way through our mandate and we’ve accomplished much, but there is still opportunities to do more. Bob has been a lifelong resident of the Charlottetown area and he truly understands the challenges and opportunities in district 11.
Congratulations Bob, and welcome to the Liberal family. Let’s work together to make sure the residents of Charlottetown – Parkdale continue to have a strong government member representing them in the legislature.
“It is important that residents of Charlottetown-Parkdale be represented in a timely a manner as possible in the Legislative Assembly, which opens in November,” the premier said. “Prince Edward Islanders are known for a nation-leading rate of voter participation, and I encourage all constituents of the district of Charlottetown-Parkdale to take part in the democratic process by getting involved and casting a vote in the November 27 by-election”
