GORD MCNEILLY
Gord McNeilly was first elected in 2019 as MLA for District 14 Charlottetown – West Royalty. He is currently a Liberal MLA and party critic for the portfolios of Health and Wellness and the status of women.
Gord grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He later spent time in Europe playing professional basketball and also worked with the military as a civilian expert in Kinesiology before choosing to make his home in PEI.
Gord is an innovative entrepreneur, owning and managing UFIT, UFIT Aqua and Happy Gardens. He further extends his engagement with the community through his volunteer work, serving as United Way Campaign Chair (2015-2018), as a former Board member of Lennon Recovery House and as a broadcast commentator for UPEI Panthers and Island Storm basketball.
Gord is passionate about the welcoming, supportive community he chose to make his home, and is prepared to work hard to help build a bright, rewarding future for all residents of Charlottetown – West Royalty and PEI. He is a long-time resident of District 14, with his wife Eireann and their daughter Kiera.
