ROBERT HENDERSON
Robert Henderson is currently a Liberal MLA and party critic for the portfolios of Agriculture and Land; Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy. First elected by the people of District 25 in 2007, then re-elected in 2011, 2015 and 2019, Robert Henderson served as the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. He has also served as Minister of Tourism and Culture, Minister of Health and Wellness, and on various Legislative and executive council committees.
Prior to entering public life, Rob’s work experience included time as an employment counsellor, an economic development officer, beef and potato farmer, and as a draftsperson.
Rob has always been active in his community, volunteering with a variety of community organizations. These include the Western Development Corp, Ellerslie/Tyne Valley Community School, Tyne Valley and Area Development Corp, West Prince Soils and Crop committee, Tyne Valley area rink board, Freeland Presbyterian Church board, Western Sports Council, and PEI Guitar Festival committee.
Robert is a lifelong resident of Freeland PEI, and his wife Sandra have two daughters; Chantel with her husband Paul and granddaughter Olivia, and Dr. Sara with her fiancé Tobias Speth.
