Tourism and post-secondary marketing professional Greg Arsenault is seeking the Liberal Party of PEI nomination for District 6, Stratford-Keppoch
Greg is an avid recreational athlete and has been a lifelong supporter of promoting Prince Edward Island to visitors, residents and students.
“As a former civil servant and currently a post-secondary executive, I am confident my experience and insight will help us build better communities and a stronger province,” remarked Greg. “I’m a big believer that good ideas can come from anywhere, and I look forward to engaging with the residents of District 6 to find tangible solutions to tough issues like climate change and healthcare that we are facing in this province.”
Greg is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Holland College, a role he has held since 2010. Prior to joining Holland College, Greg was the Assistant Deputy Minister of Communications PEI, Director of Marketing for Tourism PEI, and worked in various marketing roles.
“Communication is so important. Islanders deserve to know that their elected representatives have heard their concerns and what is being done to address them,” continued Greg. “As an active member of our community, I am committed to listening to and working with my neighbours to get action on the issues that are important to them.”
Greg has been an active participant and volunteer for running and triathlon events on PEI for over 20 years. He is on the board of Triathlon PEI, a volunteer for Canada Games 2023 as Sponsor Ambassador and worker at the Biathlon event, a volunteer judge for Crossfit competitions and a former coach at Crossfit Charlottetown.
Greg was born in Charlottetown and lives in District 6 with his wife, Corena Hughes.
The nomination for District 6 is Thursday, March 2nd, at the Town of Stratford Recreation Center (Southport Room). The event starts at 7:00 PM, and doors open at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome.
